Leave with a plan you can actually use
Ask for aftercare instructions before you agree to treatment. Check that they fit your week, including work, caring responsibilities and travel.
Keep the clinic’s routine and urgent contact details with your instructions. Ask when a review will happen and who will assess a concern. The GMC patient guide explains the aftercare information a doctor should provide; ask your own practitioner how their arrangements work.
- Keep the written instructions, the treatment date and the clinic's contact details together.
- Clarify whether a follow-up is arranged automatically or whether you need to book it.
- Ask which changes should prompt a call, and what to do if the clinic is unavailable.

Early appearance is not the final result
Swelling and discomfort have been reported in injection research. Their extent and duration depend on the procedure and individual response, so an early change in appearance is not a reliable verdict on the final result.
Ask your practitioner to distinguish expected recovery, symptoms needing assessment and the point at which to review your contour. A study of a different product or body area cannot set that timetable for you.

Discuss your normal week, not just your appointment
Explain what you actually do each day: lifting, driving, swimming, exercise or wearing a close-fitting uniform. Ask what you may need to adjust and for how long.
Do not copy massage, medicine or exercise advice from another person’s social post. If instructions conflict, ask your treating practitioner to clarify them.
Make concerns easy to explain
When contacting the clinic, say what changed, when it started and whether it is improving or worsening. Note the advice you receive and arrange an examination if recommended.
Ask for an approved secure route before sending photographs or health information. This website does not collect clinical images, and WhatsApp cannot replace an examination.
Know when not to wait for a reply
For unexpected or worsening symptoms, follow your clinic’s urgent aftercare advice. Call 999 for a possible life-threatening reaction, including difficulty breathing or sudden swelling of the mouth, throat or tongue. Do not wait for a WhatsApp reply.

Use the review to decide what happens next
At review, discuss recovery and your original goal. Further treatment is one possible decision; waiting or stopping may be appropriate too.
Follow the personal aftercare instructions provided for your procedure. The manufacturer’s current topical Aqualyx Cosmetic webpage is not an injectable aftercare leaflet.

Your questions, answered
Can I return to work immediately?
There is no verified universal return-to-work promise for the Leeds procedure. Discuss your duties and schedule with the practitioner before booking around work.
Should I massage the area after Aqualyx?
Use the written instructions for your exact procedure. Do not copy massage or exercise advice from a different product, clinic or social-media post.
Is WhatsApp the right place for urgent aftercare?
Use the urgent contact arrangements supplied by your treating clinic. For a potentially life-threatening emergency call 999; do not wait for WhatsApp.
