YOUR TREATMENT QUESTIONS
Aqualyx, explained.
Understand what treatment involves, what to ask your practitioner and how to plan for recovery. Your consultation is the place to decide whether it is right for you.
BEFORE YOU DECIDE
Start with a personal assessment.
Aqualyx appointments are for discussing localised body-contouring treatment. This is not an overall weight-loss programme. An appointment does not guarantee that treatment will be suitable.
Ask which product will be used, which areas it is intended for, what the full cost includes and who will provide your care. Discuss your medical history, medicines and expectations with the practitioner before giving consent.
You can ask questions and take time to decide. Same-appointment treatment is an option only where appropriate after assessment.
HOW IT WORKS
What does “fat dissolving” mean?
Published studies describe deoxycholate-based Aqualyx formulations disrupting fat-cell membranes. The body then processes released material over time. The diagram simplifies that published mechanism; it does not predict an individual result.
- 01 / INTACT
An intact fat cell
A thin membrane encloses a large lipid droplet.
- 02 / DISRUPTION
Membrane disruption
Deoxycholate can disrupt cell membranes, releasing their contents.
- 03 / PROCESSING
Gradual processing
The body processes released material over time. This is not an instant change.
The exact product matters
The manufacturer’s current Aqualyx Cosmetic page describes a topical product. That information cannot establish an injectable treatment’s formulation or intended use. Ask your practitioner about the exact product and its instructions for use. For product and treatment questions, email contact@vivobodystudio.com.

RECOVERY & AFTERCARE
Plan for how you may feel afterwards.
Expect a conversation about reactions
Published injection studies report swelling, tenderness and pain. A non-surgical treatment still has risks; it should not be described as painless or risk-free. Your practitioner should explain both expected reactions and possible complications for the product and area being treated.
Get advice that fits your routine
Ask how treatment could affect work, exercise and any upcoming plans. Follow the written aftercare provided by your practitioner, including any activity restrictions. We do not promise that everyone can return to their usual routine straight away.
Know who to contact
Before leaving, make sure you have aftercare instructions, a contact for concerns and an agreed follow-up plan. Ask which symptoms need prompt medical attention and what to do outside clinic hours. Do not rely on a general website or WhatsApp enquiry service for urgent medical assessment.
SESSIONS & RESULTS
A course should follow your assessment.
A first session is not a promise of a particular change. Follow-up treatment may be discussed after assessing your response; more sessions are not automatically better or necessary for everyone.
Ask when progress should be reviewed and what would make another session appropriate. Session spacing, recovery guidance and expected changes must follow the confirmed product protocol and your practitioner’s advice. No fixed results timeline or three-session requirement is assumed here.
This page is general information, not a personal treatment recommendation. VIVO’s owner confirms review by the Leeds practitioner; this is an owner-reported review, not an independent clinical certification.
